Welcome to The Security of Planning information blog. My name is Terry Alexander, and I help clients throughout Newfoundland and Labrador with properly planning for unforeseen critical events in their lives. The purpose of this blog is to enable you to become better educated and more informed when it comes to providing financially for you and your family. As part of my role as a licensed representative in the financial services industry, I felt it important that consumers have a solid understanding of how to properly protect their families through life insurance, the wisdom in protecting their income over the life of their working career, and the peace of mind that comes from properly planning for retirement.
You will find a series of information articles, written not only by myself, but also from other leading professionals both inside and outside the industry. If there is one thing that I would caution you against more than anything else, it would be not to assume. Don’t assume that you have total coverage, or the best financial nest egg. Far too often when tragedy strikes, consumers who thought they were covered for a particular event are left bewildered and confused when the stark reality of what they are not covered for sets in. Retirement sneaks up on you, and the carefree golden years suddenly aren’t so carefree when the expected returns just aren’t there.
